How to Talk to Your Dog about Murder
Author: Emily Soderberg
Nikki Jackson-Ramanathan is working as a dog walker while she tries to get her pet behaviorist business idea off the ground. She lands an appointment to help a wealthy woman's dog get over grieving for his deceased owner. Just as Nikki thinks this might just be the thing to give her pet behaviorist career a boost, the rich woman turns up dead......and Nikki is a murder suspect.
Such a cute concept! I really enjoyed Nikki as a main character. She has a great sense of humor and is just a quirky, fun character. I liked the mix of humor and mystery. I definitely can sympathize with Nikki's thoughts that she better relates to animals than people. I've felt that way many times myself!
The plot kept my attention from start to finish. I liked the characters and the background plot of a pet behaviorist. There were plenty of suspects and lots of sleuthing.
I'm not sure if this is a one-off or if this will be a series. If it's a series, I will definitely read more!
Fun read!
