Sookie Stackhouse's world is just getting weirder and weirder. Now it's not just vampires and the occasional shapeshifter. It's vampires, shapeshifters, weres, fairies and......witches. And, it seems Vampire sheriff Eric Northman has been a victim of a very strong spell. He has amnesia.....and Sookie has been roped into protecting him, while the witch and were problems get sorted.....
This isn't my favorite book of the series, but I did enjoy the story. I've read this entire series multiple times, and it's always odd to read this particular book as Eric changes personalities pretty fundamentally for almost the entire book. Definitely a lot of action in this book! Lots of lying, sneaking and fighting. And...what happens in this book is a segue into what happens through the rest of the series. Glad I read this book again!
I read my paperback copy of this book while listening to the audio book [Recorded Books, 2011, 9 hrs 57 minutes, narrated by Johanna Parker]. I have this entire series on my bookshelves. Reading my books one more time, and then will donate them to a local thriftshop or used bookstore.
Another step forward in my plans to downsize my books and other belongings so I can downsize to a nicer, smaller apartment in 2027. :)
I'm enjoying my revisit to this series. Always happy to be back in Bon Temps! Moving on to the next book!!
