REVIEW: Cinnamon Nut Crunch Murder

Cinnamon Nut Crunch Murder
Author: Susan Gillard

Heather Shepherd finds herself in hot water once again when the daughter of a local detective is murdered. She was the last person to talk to Tara, and her father believes Heather had something to do with the killing. Her husband Ryan, a local PD detective, is removed from the case, so he supports Heather doing a bit of snooping into the case to try and clear her name. But someone clearly doesn't like her sticking her nose into the investigation.....can Heather find out who murdered Tara Davidson without ending up a victim herself?

This book is a light cozy mystery. I like the characters and the doughnut shop theme. This book had fewer editing errors than prior books in this series -- nice change! I hope it continues! The front cover has a photo of a very yummy cinnamon doughnut on it! mmmmmm.

These stories are novella length -- perfect for a short trip, waiting for an appointment or other times when an avid reader wants something light and quick to read. The stories are entertaining and fast-paced.

There are 60 books in this series, plus a spin-off series with the same characters in a new location, Oceanside Cozy Mysteries. Cinnamon Nut Crunch Murder is the 14th book in the series (so I have a lot of reading to do!!!)
